New blog just in from Alan Morgan of the Islanders on board the Black Oyster off Peterhead:
57 31.793N 01.46.122W. In a nut shell, we wandered through a live fire exercise (off Cape Wrath). Saw a submarine and watched fighter jets do battle. Rowed at least 70nm in one day. Got bounced around by the races off some of the oldest rocks on the planet (3billion years old) – the Orkneys. All in all had a great time. No joke.
Next play is to take the drop straight down, providing the weather is on – Aberdeen to Northumberland. Risky, but a better line than the World Record boat.
